With standard dental implants you still need good bone condition for the implants to integrate with the bone. The mini-implant is an ultra small diameter implant needing less bone than a conventional implant for placement. However, unlike the conventional implant, the bone integration is not strong enough to hold a conventional bridge or single crown and is only suitable for stabilising your dentures.
Mini-implants do not have the same longevity as conventional dental implants, but are a good substitute for those patients that are not suitable for the conventional implant option.
